I still have fabric left over from my first Neptune dress

and also 1/2 of a jelly roll from my quilt for Colson Lee.  So what did I do?

Went out and ordered 3 more jelly rolls.

I think I have been reading too many posts on the blogs about quilters hoarding Heather Ross fabrics and I started to think about how much I like this line and how versatile it is…so I started buying.  I think I am on my way to a healthy stash of Neptune.  I’ll keep you posted!

I found these charm packs on sale for under $5 and bought 4 or 5 of them. 


 I saw a tutorial here by Amandajean of crazymomquilts, where she used the cardboard of the charm pack for your pattern. 

Works great!  I think it is a nice change from my recent obsession with coin stacks.


I may end up making it a little larger because it just doesn’t seem baby enough.  Maybe I will change my mind when it comes together more.

Well, just because I have not had a battery charger, it hasn’t kept me from sewing. Here are two quilt tops I made using my scraps from Caroline’s quilt.   I think I will choose more of the brown fabric for the back of this one. P1010940 P1010942 And more of the pinks for this one.  Both are obviously for girls.I thought it would really put a dent into my stash from that line…not so. I have a couple of sisters that I think might really love to receive these.  I will need to finish them before the new year. P1010945

I am pretty excited about this.  It is my first quilt along.  I am going to get to know 11 other quilters and have a great time.  They are having sign ups over on Flickr…go and sign up!
